What a great Halloween. Avery was the cutest little Dorothy I ever did see. Jack was going to be Toto, but it was too hard for Avery to carry in her basket, so he went along for the walk around the neighborhood. I wanted Max to be the Lion, but I wasn't able to find a costume small enough for him so he just sported a "my first Halloween" onsie and hung out strapped to me. We went with our friends the Harvey's (Erick, Brittany, and Abigail). They came over to our house and we walked around our neighborhood. Last night I was glad we lived in military housing so we could feel safe and Avery could experience real trick or treating. Where I grew up, I never experienced that since we lived in a small town. We would spend the whole night driving around the whole county to our relatives to get our candy. Avery did so great for her first time actually trick or treating. She never got scared and the only issue we had was when she got tired. So we just gave her some of her candy and she perked right up.

I was so glad that Brian came home in time for the weekend and to be there for Avery's first trick or treating and Max's first actual Halloween. We even passed out candy after we were done and finish the night with Chinese food. It was a long night and I don't know who ended up being more tired Avery or us. I know Max was not the winner because he kept his mom up way into the wee hours of the morning. :)
